Centaur Painting 6
 This painting is based upon one of Sidney Nolan’s series featuring Australian bushranger Ned Kelly. Nolan’s painting shows Kelly on horseback with a gun pointing up and out to one side in a dry and desolate Australian landscape. The "Ned Kelly Centaur" substitutes Ned Kelly for the Centaur sculpture form.
This painting is a big switch from the ‘graphic’ images of the other paintings that I have completed thus far. The colours are vibrant and rich reflecting the colours of the dry Australian bush and Nolan’s painting.
