Seated Woman on Centaur 2
This drawing follows the lead set by the previous drawing (Seated Woman on Centaur) by applying Picassos "Seated Woman with Hat" onto a side view of the 3D Centaur.
This view is particularly interesting because the major piece of the Centaur that identifies the human element of the Centaur is perpendicular to the viewer and is almost represented solely as a black line. This shifts the focus to the legs and tails of the Centaur form.
The presents the 3D form as having two distinct forms linked by a thin horizontal bridge. Surprisingly, as I write this, I notice the Picasso imagery used on the left hand side is different to that of the right.
This drawing also forms the basis for Centaur Painting 3 with its side view of the 3D Centaur.
