Who We Are
Geoffrey McDonald
The designprobe team is lead by Geoffrey McDonald.
Geoff's career began as an architect. He holds Bachelor and Masters degrees in architecture, studying in Australia and the US and practising in Australia and the UK.
During this time he began to explore the effect of computers on architectural design and out of this began an 18 year study of design and technology trends. During this time Geoff has presented at various international design conferences, including the American Institute of Architects and International Union of Architects. Geoff was the first to observe the 'Design Your Own' trend and to produce a product for this market in his first book 'A Home Office You Love'. This research now forms the basis of What's Going On and 'Every New Thing'.
After several years overseas, Geoff returned to Australia and undertook research studies in Visual Art. This work is presented in Making New Things and highlighted by the 2D images and 3D forms of The Centaur. These paintings and sculptures have been exhibited in a range of Melbourne galleries and events. He is currently writing a text to highlight the research insights and value of these works.
The How to Be Creative and the Being Creative workshops are a culmination of more than a decade of personal learning and development. This includes a Diploma of Ontological Coaching from Newfield Australia, courses at Landmark Education, a Master Practitioner Certificate in NLP from Neuroads and extensive experience in Accelerative Learning.
For the past 5 years Geoff has run a website strategy and design business in conjunction with coaching and facilitating for several business and not for profit clients.
